SFF-8087 is a 36-pin Mini-SAS interface widely used for high-speed data transfer within servers.
The term “Reverse” indicates that the cable maps the controller-side transmit (Tx) signals to the backplane/SATA device-side receive (Rx) pins, enabling proper communication—opposite to the logic of forward cables (used for SAS-to-SAS direct connections).
