The Egasky EGLPDA-0637-D8/9/9 is a high-performance, wide-band log-periodic directional antenna designed for a variety of wireless applications. It covers all major GSM, UMTS, LTE, 3G, 4G, and 5G frequency bands used in the United States and supports WiFi, LoRa IoT, and RFID systems — eliminating the need for multiple separate antennas.

Performance Notes
Two antennas can provide approximately double the throughput in many setups (typically ×1.5–1.8). However, a single antenna works perfectly with routers that have only one external antenna port — simply connect to the main/primary port (Antenna Port 1).
Our antennas are deployed across urban, suburban, and rural environments — from hillsides to city rooftops — helping homes and small facilities improve cellular reception. This antenna amplifies the received signal; it does NOT generate cellular coverage where none exists.

All cable variants include: 1 × RF coaxial cable, 2 × cable ties, and 1 × adapter connector (adapter type depends on the variant).
These accessories make it easy to connect the antenna to 5G/4G/LTE modems, MiFi hotspots, routers, signal boosters/amplifiers, LoRaWAN gateways, IoT end-nodes, and UHF RFID readers.

Cable Upgrades — LMR200 & LMR240
To reduce signal loss and improve durability, we use low-loss coaxial cables:
- LMR200 (used for 10ft / 16ft options): double-layer aluminum foil and tinned copper braid for excellent shielding and flexibility — ideal for short runs and compact setups.
- LMR240 (used for 33ft option): thicker dielectric, heavier braid, and tougher outer jacket for longer runs and outdoor durability.
Typical attenuation (approx. at 900 MHz):
- LMR200 — 10ft: ~0.89 dB
- LMR200 — 16ft: ~1.49 dB
- LMR240 — 33ft: ~2.54 dB
Recommendation: Choose the shortest cable possible to minimize signal loss. Use LMR200 for short runs up to about 16ft, and LMR240 for longer distances (33ft) requiring extra strength and lower attenuation.

Directional antennas transmit signals farther in a fixed direction. Correct alignment during installation is very important.
Single point transmission (example): To boost cellular signal, the antenna must be pointed toward the nearest cell tower. See the illustrations below for guidance:
If you’re unsure of the correct cell tower direction, tools such as OpenSignal, Network Cell Info Lite, or your carrier’s coverage map can help you locate the nearest tower.
Multipoint transmission (example): For Helium hotspots and other multipoint applications, refer to the antenna’s radiation pattern — the horizontal beamwidth is about 90°. If your location resembles positions labeled B or C in Helium Explorer (meaning most nearby hotspots lie in one direction), aiming the antenna toward that cluster can improve witness results.

Outdoor Installation Notes:
- Mount the antenna as high as possible — typically 20–30ft (≈6–9m) above ground for best results.
- Aim directly toward the cell tower for maximum signal gain.
- Ensure a clear Line of Sight (LoS) — avoid trees, tall buildings, or large metal surfaces blocking the path.
- Seal all outdoor connectors using weatherproof tape or silicone wrap to prevent moisture ingress.
- Secure brackets and mounts firmly to prevent rotation or vibration under wind load.
- When using long cables, consider signal loss:
LMR200 is ideal for short runs up to 16 ft (≈5m);
LMR240 is recommended for longer runs up to 33 ft (≈10m) for lower loss and better durability.
