Offered here is a classic early Socket A computer platform built around an ASUS A7V Rev. 1.04 ATX motherboard and an installed AMD Athlon 1GHz processor.
The bundle also includes one 512MB PC133 SDRAM DIMM and a period-appropriate Cooler Master aluminum heatsink and ball-bearing cooling fan. This would make an interesting foundation for a late Windows 98 SE, Windows Me, Windows 2000, or other period-correct retro computer project.
This hardware has been stored for an extended period and has not been recently assembled into a complete system or tested.

Old thermal compound remains on the exposed processor core. It must be carefully cleaned away and replaced with fresh thermal compound before the system is powered on. Socket A processors have exposed cores and require careful heatsink installation to avoid physical damage.
Because its current operating condition is unknown, this bundle is being sold as-is as an untested vintage project, suitable for restoration, experimentation, parts, or collection. Vintage hardware knowledge and compatible supporting components will be required.
The motherboard and components exhibit ordinary cosmetic wear, dust, marks, and evidence of previous installation. Please examine every photograph carefully; the photographs show the exact bundle being offered and form an important part of the description.
📦 Shipping and Packaging
To protect the exposed Socket A processor and motherboard, the heatsink and fan will be removed and packed separately for shipment. The processor will remain secured inside its socket.
The motherboard will be enclosed in anti-static protective material, supported against flexing, and heavily cushioned inside a sturdy outer shipping carton. The RAM and cooler will be individually protected to prevent contact with the motherboard during transit.
