While refurbishing the laptop and getting parts replaced/transferred; the left side plastic standoffs for the hinge snapped inside. The laptop lid can still close without making a gap on the backside but will make a "crack" noise every time. Gentle closing is needed.The USB slot on the left side has no plastic shielding, it will be taped over to prevent shorts.

(Still has it's original Windows 7 COA key on it)-----------------Wish to give this laptop a new life and in a way have the Gateway NV Series sibling the parts came from live on in it. It's a worthwhile laptop to use for casual web surfing and basic tasks. The SSD inside has been checked and in good health as well.
