This riser card converts an SFF-8654 interface into four PCIe x4 ports. The PCIe connectors on the card use an x16 physical format, but each operate in x4 link.
It can also be used to remote a PCIe x16 slot by connecting it to an AIC card equipped with two SFF-8654 connectors, thus facilitating the expansion or internal reorganization of the chassis.
