Adaptive XAUUSD Hedgefund EA is an automated trading robot built specifically for Gold (XAUUSD). It scans the current chart for a volatility expansion, then places pending stop orders in the direction of price movement and manages each trade with a tight trailing stop. Parameters are calibrated for the larger price swings and wider spreads of gold, rather than for forex pairs.
The EA runs on a single chart, uses a magic number to manage only its own trades, and shows a live information panel with account data, signal status, open positions and performance statistics.

Trades only when the current bar range exceeds a set threshold (default 350 points), avoiding quiet and choppy periods.Moving Average Channel

Fifteen optimized preset files (.set) for the M1 timeframe are included. They differ in StopLoss, Limit and Distance. Names containing "Low Drawdown" use settings aimed at a smoother equity curve. Presets 10 and 11 are identical. - Open MetaTrader and choose File, then Open Data Folder.
- Copy the .ex4 file to MQL4\Experts (MT4) or the .ex5 file to MQL5\Experts (MT5).
- Copy the .set files to the Presets folder (MQL4\Presets or MQL5\Presets).
- Restart the platform or refresh the Navigator.
- Open an XAUUSD M1 chart and drag the EA onto it.
- Click Load on the Inputs tab and choose a preset.
- Enable Algo Trading and confirm the smiley face or green icon appears.
