I installed this on my 33' boat. Instead of the supplied short antenna, I installed an 8 Ft antenna and ratchet mount bracket, similar looking to the standard marine VHF antenna, to catch the marina internet signal. I ran the usb cable from the Alfa Tube down into the cabin to a router. The router I installed is the Alfa R36AH Router.I have been able to maintain a decent signal for my laptop, iPad,iPhone and TV.
Note; I have included an Installation Diagram to help you understand how this setup is installed.
