Title:
BYTE Magazine 1985 Complete Year 13 Issues Bound AI Amiga IBM PC Vintage a trip back to 1985, when personal computing was exploding, the Commodore Amiga was brand new, IBM PCs were reshaping the industry, and BYTE was already asking readers if they were ready for the Artificial Intelligence revolution.
This remarkable set contains the complete 1985 run of BYTE Magazine — all 12 monthly issues from January through December PLUS the special Fall 1985 issue — 13 complete issues in all. Former library copies, the magazines have been professionally bound into four substantial orange hardcover volumes, preserving an incredible snapshot of an entire year in computing history.
And these aren't thin magazines. BYTE was enormous during this era, packed with hundreds of pages of technical articles, reviews, industry news, programming, hardware, advertisements, illustrations, specifications, and wonderfully period-specific predictions about where computing was headed.
Highlights include BYTE's extensive Artificial Intelligence coverage, the arrival and technical examination of the Commodore Amiga, IBM PC coverage, classic computer advertising—including Apple's memorable Charlie Chaplin imagery—and page after page documenting the technology industry at one of its most fascinating 1985 BYTE Magazine collection

Why You'll Love It:
This is more than a stack of old computer magazines—it's practically a time capsule of the personal-computer industry at a pivotal moment. Reading BYTE in 1985 hindsight is half history lesson and half entertainment: technologies being introduced as revolutionary, predictions that turned out to be remarkably accurate, others that went nowhere, and advertisements for machines and software that are now collectibles themselves. The Artificial Intelligence material alone is fascinating to read four decades later. Having the entire year together makes this an especially fun set to former library copies in very good overall condition for their age. All 13 complete 1985 issues are professionally bound into four orange hardcover library volumes. The bindings remain solid and have done an excellent job of protecting the magazines over the years. Pages and full-color content present very well overall. As expected from former library copies, there are library markings, stamps and labels present, including markings along the outer page edges and some library/periodical labels or stickers inside and around the original covers. These do not detract from the tremendous amount of original content contained within the volumes. Please review all photos for examples of the library markings and overall condition. An unusually well-preserved and wonderfully browsable complete year of BYTE Magazine.
