Woofer speaker driver has been replaced. It now functions as it should.
Used speaker system, faded color as seen, a smudge on the side of the subwoofer cabinet. Upon testing it was discovered that the woofer surround disintegrated from age as expected with vintage speakers.
We've replaced the woofer with a Goldwood 205/8S. It now has a new woofer and works as it should.
Many of these vintage speakers probably will have the same issue if not blown already. The original speaker worked fine until the surround failed. They can be repaired with a surround replacement kit available on Amazon and . If you want the old speaker, it is included, but you must request it to be shipped, otherwise, it will not.
