Note: Fujitsu PRAID EP540e is an OEM version of Broadcom/LSI MegaRAID 9480-8e. It uses the same Broadcom/LSI firmware and functions exactly the same as Broadcom/LSI RAID Controllers. We tested it in Supermicro, Dell, and HP machines. Basically, it is compatible with any modern PC with an available PCIe x8 slot. 9480-8e shares the same PCB with 9480-8i8e. But 9480-8e has only 8 external ports while 9480-8i8e has 8 internal ports and 8 external ports.
