• Power supplies not included — requires ASR1000X-AC-1100W (AC) or ASR1000X-DC-950W (DC) power supplies, sold separately. A mix of AC and DC power supplies is not supported.
• ASR1006-X vs ASR1006 (non-X): The ASR1006-X supports 100 Gbps per slot bandwidth and EPA slots for 40G/100G Ethernet port adapters — the non-X ASR1006 is limited to 40 Gbps per slot with no EPA support. The -X chassis requires ASR1000X power supplies (not interchangeable with non-X chassis PSUs).
• ASR1006-X vs ASR1009-X: The ASR1009-X is a 9-slot chassis supporting higher port density — choose the ASR1009-X for maximum SPA/EPA slots. The ASR1006-X offers 6 slots in a more compact 6RU footprint.
• IOS XE Software Release 3.16.0 minimum required for ASR1006-X.
