• What call control system does this phone work with?
  This is the CP-8861-K9 Enterprise firmware model, designed for Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM) on-premises, Unified CME, Business Edition 6000, and HCS. Registering to Cisco UCM requires appropriate Cisco user licensing (sold separately by Cisco; check your UCM version's licensing model). It is not the CP-8861-3PCC-K9 Multiplatform (MPP) firmware version used for third-party open-SIP call control.
• How is the phone powered?
  It is powered by IEEE Power over Ethernet, Class 4 (802.3af or 802.3at) from a PoE switch or injector. For non-PoE setups, the optional Cisco Power Cube 4 (CP-PWR-CUBE-4) is required and is sold separately.
• How is the 8861 different from the 8851 and 8841?
  The 8861 adds integrated dual-band Wi-Fi and a second (rear, fast-charge) USB port over the 8851, which has only the side USB port. The 8841 has no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or USB. All three share the same 5-inch color display and 5 line keys, but the 8861 is the most fully featured audio phone in the lineup.
