Listed is a Tapecart with 2MB (2 megabytes) flash storage to store a single TCRT file which can stores many files, e.g., your favorite game program PRG files. This Tapecart device does not use the SD card but a 2MB flash storage/chip that you can permantently store or rewrite/upload a new TCRT file. With 2MB you can store a lot of PRG files. Note that the TCRT file format does not support storing sub-directories.
A TCRT file is special file that bundles many files, including a file browser for you select which program to run, once the TCRT file is loaded via pressing the SHIFT+RUN/STOP keys on the Commodore 64 or Commodore 128, when the Commodore 128 is run as the Commodore 64.
You can bundle a number of files into a TCRT up to 2MB in size, which is the flash size, to store into this Tapecart device.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- You will need to have an SD2IEC device in order to transfer the TCRT file of your choice to this Tapecart device. The item comes with two jumper wires that you can use to have this Tapecart device to power your SD2IEC device.
- This Tapecart flash device only supports storing ONE TCRT file. So, you would want the TCRT file to store your favorite files, PRG files, etc., near to 2MB of flash size.
- ALL instructions will be provided upon purchase on how to flash a new TCRT file to this Tapecart device.
