Vintage (ca 1996) Compaq Deskpro 2000 tower, model "M5166/2500/CD."
This tower does not have a hard drive currently, but it does boot successfully to BIOS.... or rather, it *would* boot to BIOS, if it had a hard drive and that drive had the BIOS partition on it. Yes, that's really how these worked. Have fun with all that.
Anyway, this particular model has survived the years in pretty nice condition overall, although one of the cover/filler pieces was missing so we just stuck the obviously-not-correct black DVD drive in there since it looked better than a hole. The other cover/filler above it seems to be missing a plastic clip also, so it just kinda swings half-attached when there's nothing underneath to hold it up...
But other than that, the thing is pretty solid, with the rest of the plastics seemingly intact and not even especially yellowed! The case itself has even escaped most of the usual dents and scratches, and the insides are very clean.
