The MultiStart II allows two standard Kickstart ROMs to be installed simultaneously and selected from the keyboard. This lets an Amiga owner use a newer operating-system ROM while retaining compatibility with older programs that require an earlier Kickstart version.

This example remains with its original box, foam packaging, printed manual, ribbon cable, control lead, antistatic bag, and configuration paperwork. The components appear unused or never installed.

  No reliable evidence was found that a special MultiStart II floppy disk was part of the standard package. Workbench disks appropriate to the installed Kickstart versions would have been separate Commodore operating-system media.

  Installation

  Installation requires opening the Amiga and connecting the MultiStart II to the motherboard Kickstart ROM socket using the included ribbon cable.

  The control lead must also be connected as directed by the original manual. Installation should be performed by someone familiar with Amiga hardware, correct ROM orientation, antistatic handling, and motherboard chip identification.

  Incorrect installation or reversed ROM orientation can damage vintage hardware.
