Up for sale is a Datamax DMX-I-4308 I-Class industrial thermal transfer label printer — a workhorse barcode printer well-known for its rugged construction and reliable performance in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, and retail environments. This unit prints at 300 DPI resolution and supports both thermal transfer (ribbon) and direct thermal label printing.
This unit was removed from a working environment and comes equipped with a factory-attached Lantronix WiBox WBX2100E wireless device server (see below), which adds 802.11b/g WiFi and Ethernet connectivity to the printer's serial interface — significantly expanding deployment flexibility without additional hardware.
The printer features a backlit LCD control panel with PAUSE, FEED, CANCEL, TEST, and MENU functions. Compatible with standard ZPL/DPL label formats and widely supported by label design software including BarTender, NiceLabel, and ZebraDesigner.

The attached Lantronix WiBox WBX2100E is a dedicated industrial wireless device server that bridges the printer's RS-232/RS-485 serial interface to both 10/100 Ethernet and 802.11b/g WiFi. This allows the printer to be connected to a network wirelessly and addressed as a network printer — no additional print server hardware required. The WiBox supports dual serial ports (RS232 Serial 1 + RS232/485 Serial 2) and operates on 9–30 VDC. Mini gender changers and RS232 adapters are attached and included.

Condition Used — Functional Pull Removed from an active working environment. Shows normal cosmetic wear from industrial use — scuffs and dust consistent with warehouse/production service. No structural damage. Sold as-is.
The printer mechanism, platen roller, and print head area are intact. The LCD panel and all front-panel buttons are present. The attached Lantronix WiBox is firmly mounted to the rear of the unit with serial connectors engaged. Print head condition and ribbon path have not been independently tested — buyers should perform a configuration/test print upon receipt. No broken tabs, cracked housing, or signs of liquid damage observed.
Compatibility & Software Support
The Datamax I-Class printer series is supported by most major label design and print management platforms including BarTender, NiceLabel, ZebraDesigner, and Loftware. The DMX-I-4308 uses Datamax Programming Language (DPL) and is also compatible with ZPL-II emulation depending on firmware version.
The integrated Lantronix WiBox is configurable via web browser or Lantronix DeviceInstaller software (free download from Lantronix). Once configured to your WiFi network, the printer can be addressed via TCP/IP as a standard network printer — compatible with Windows, Linux, and macOS print queues.
