This adapter is designed is to connect the proprietary 5-6 pin front panel power button connector on Dell Optiplex, Inspiron, and Vostro desktop motherboards to a standard PC case front panel. These desktops are often used to build budget gaming PC’s using decommissioned office desktops and convert them to work with modern PC cases. This adapter will retain the power button switch, power LED, and yellow diagnostic LED, it will not remove the front panel error on startup. Warning, connecting these adapters in the wrong orientation could result in damage to your motherboard.When installing make sure to align the white arrow on the adapter with the missing pin on the motherboard connector, sometimes it may have to be installed right side up, upside down, or sideways to accomplish this.Make sure to check out our assembly video below.
