Dell PowerEdge 2600 vintage server. Sold AS-IS / For Parts or Repair.
The server powers on, provides video output, and successfully enters the BIOS and Adaptec SCSI configuration utility. It has been partially tested, but due to its age and the issues described below, it is being sold AS-IS.

* 533 MHz bus speed
* 512 KB L2 cache
* Logical Processor / Hyper-Threading enabled
* 2GB ECC DDR RAM recognized by BIOS
* BIOS Version A10
* Adaptec 39160 Ultra160/Ultra320 SCSI controller
* Six SCSI hard drives installed in Dell hot-swap caddies
* Installed drives include Hitachi Ultrastar SCSI drives and at least one Toshiba MBA3147NC 146GB 15K RPM Ultra320 SCSI drive
* Some Hitachi Ultrastar drives are 36GB 10K RPM
* Pioneer DVR-116D DVD-RW drive is detected
* Dual Dell NPS-730AB A 730W power supplies
* Server powers on and produces video
* BIOS/setup utility is accessible
* Adaptec SCSISelect utility is accessible
Known issues / testing results:
The server currently does not boot into an operating system and displays:
“No boot device available.”
Both Channel A and Channel B of the Adaptec 39160 controller were checked through the SCSISelect utility. During our testing, the installed hard drives were not detected on either channel. The six physical SCSI hard drives and their hot-swap caddies are included, but the drives have not been individually tested and their functionality is unknown.
The system also displays a memory warning:
“Unsupported memory, incomplete sets, or unmatched sets.”
The system reports DIMM2A and DIMM2B as disabled. BIOS currently recognizes 2048MB (2GB) ECC DDR RAM.
The Promise Ultra133TX2 controller detects the Pioneer DVD-RW drive but reports no additional drives attached.
The server includes two Dell 730W power supply modules.
Cosmetic condition shows signs of age and previous use, including dust, scratches, scuffs, and general wear. Please carefully review all photos for the exact physical condition, installed components, and what is included.
Due to the age of this server and the limited testing performed, no guarantee is made regarding the SCSI hard drives, RAID/SCSI configuration, memory modules, operating system, or any other untested functions.
Sold AS-IS for parts, repair, restoration, or vintage computer/server projects. No further testing has been performed.
