The Virtual Edge Platform 1420 or VEP1420 is a universalcustomer premise equipment (uCPE) device. The VEP1420 connects the serviceprovider edge or small to medium branch locations to the cloud, to host virtualnetwork functions.
The VEP1420 is a single-socket platform that offers hostedvirtualized network functionality, with applicability for the Service ProviderEdge and Enterprise Branch. The VEP1420 uses the Intel Denverton-NS (Atomprocessor, C3000 family).
