Optimized for Sun Microsystems SBus servers, the LightPulseLP9002S Fibre Channel SBus host adapter provides support for 2Gbps Fibre Channeldata rates, delivering the industry's highest performance. The LP9002S featuresautomatic speed negotiation capability which allows complete compatibility withexisting 1Gbps Fibre Channel Storage Area Networks (SANs), while allowingseamless upgrades to higher speed 2Gbps SANs.
The LP9002S provides the flexibility and interoperability neededfor complex, highly scalable SANs. The LP9002S provides a unique combination offeatures, including fabric support using F_Port and FL_Port connections, full-duplexdata transfers, high data integrity features, support for all Fibre Channeltopologies, and support for service class 2 and 3.
LP9002S also features sophisticated hardware that providessuperior performance in SANs, delivering low latency and high throughput inswitched, arbitrated loop and clustered environments. Support for fiber opticcabling is provided through a small form factor (LC) optical embeddedinterface.
