It is powered by dual 14 core Xeon E5-2680 v4 CPUs, and comes with 32GB of RAM (4x 8GB DDR4 RDIMMs), a 480GB SSD (configured as VM datastore) and a 32GB cFAST SSD (ESXi boot drive). In addition to the two onboard Gigabit Ethernet ports, it comes with an 8x1Gb Ethernet module and a quad 10Gb SFP+ module (Intel X710).
The ESXi dashboard can be accessed using the MGT port (configured via DHCP) with root and Passw0rd credentials.This device has a VGA connector as well as a few USB ports (to attach a keyboard), so it can easily be managed as a normal PC.The management controller (IPMI) seems to be disabled, though there's a LOM card installed with an ASPEED chipset.
Fans are audible but not loud. Smart Fan options are available in the BIOS to lower the speed if neccessary.
I'm listing this under Firewalls, because it's more of a Virtual Edge Platform for runningnetworking and virtual services rather than a general purpose server. I didn't configure any virtual machines, but requests for loading pfSense, OPNsense, or some other open source OS are welcome.
