he PBS Kids Playtime Pad+ 7" Tablet for Kids from Ematic features the Playtime Mode 2.0 OS, which is built onto the Android 9.1 operating system. It's a walled garden of kid-focused, kid-safe videos and games. One of the main features is access to a built-in stream of the PBS Kids 24/7 live channel - a free national children's TV channel that offers more than 20 shows centered around learning.
Hundreds of hours of clips and full episodes are also available, along with over 100 games that encourage creativity and learning in math, science, and more. Everything is ad-free with no extra downloads or subscriptions required. Also, new games and videos are added every week. Even though all built-in content is kid-friendly, parents are given app management features where they can approve or white-list apps. New apps are always available to add via Google Play.
Personalization & Customization
Kids can really make their Playtime Pad+ their own with up to 10 customizable home screens with dynamic themes. The themes are animated and all parts are customizable. There are 8 core themes and 2 seasonal themes that are based on holidays, seasons, and other events. Kids can even customize their themes with their own photos.
Kid Profiles
Parents can adjust aspects of their child's profile and add personalized messages. You can select favorite PBS Kids shows, select default themes, avatars, and more. Parents can even enter a child's birthday with personalized messaging that will appear on that date. Personalized messaging can be entered for other special events as well.
