Fontrix Data Transforms Apple II Graphics Software Binder Slipcase Manual 1983
Price: US $37.99
This is an original retail package of Fontrix by Data Transforms of Denver, Colorado. It is a rare piece of early desktop-publishing software for the Apple II. When it launched in 1983, Fontrix was billed as an extended screen graphics program with 11 built-in character sets and the ability to create unlimited new ones. It was used for charts, diagrams, and newsletters, could print to a range of printers, and retailed for $75.
The set comes in its black cloth three-ring binder with a gold-foil Fontrix logo and the matching slipcase. The slipcase carries an original “Distributed by Softsel Computer Products” sticker. Inside are the Fontrix manual, including the “Typesetting Your Word Processor Files” section, and the Fontpak Character Set Disks registration and “Font Hunt” insert in a clear disk sleeve. It’s a nice piece for vintage Apple and retro-computing collectors.
