What that means for you: - You CANNOT register this unit to your own Fortinet account - No FortiGuard updates (AV, IPS, web filtering, app control) - No firmware downloads from Fortinet's support portal - No RMA or technical support entitlement
What you DO get: - Fully functional firewall, routing, NAT, VPN (IPsec/SSL), and policy enforcement — none of this requires a license - FortiOS 7.4.7 already installed. Since firmware downloads require entitlement, the version on the box is the version you keep. 7.4.7 is recent and stable.
I have included screenshots of the actual CLI output showing firmwareversion and license state. No surprises. If you need FortiGuard servicesor vendor support, this is not the unit for you.TESTING PERFORMED
