For your consideration is a Gateway 2000 Solo 2300 retro Windows 98 Laptop with the following specs:

96mb RAM
2.2gb HDD

This laptop is somewhat functional but has issues: The hinges do hold the display in place but are VERY sloppy. The display is a passive matrix LCD and it is dim and grainy - I suspect capacitor issues with the display power circuitry however it’s just a guess on my part. Also the sound driver installs but the sound does not work, also the hardware causes Windows to crash when enabled, so I have disabled the sound hardware in Device Manager. Battery does not hold a charge.
This laptop does have a clean install of Windows 98SE. Some limited testing performed by way of installing Windows - known defects noted above. I put a few hours of run time on it and aside from the above noted defects, it seems to work as expected.
