It comes pre-installed with the Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3 operating system. It can be upgraded to Windows 7 or 10 Professional which provides a better platform (you can no longer receive updates with Windows XP or 7) and quicker speed. Keeping Windows XP Home as the OS means keeping it nostalgic. You can always use another anti-virus, anti-malware program for protection and they would update normally. The same goes for Windows 7 Professional which many people are still using today. If you want the true, vintage feel, keep Windows XP; if you want to get the most use out of it, choose Windows 7 or 10. It will come with Windows XP Home installed unless you request 7 or 10 at the time of purchase.
