Gel-Pak GP-PortaVac Vacuum Release System Pump Semiconductor VR Tray(NEW SEALED) SS#15325

When vacuum is applied to the underside of a compatible Gel-Pak VR tray, the tray's flexible membrane conforms to the underlying mesh. This temporarily reduces the contact area—and therefore the holding force—between the Gel surface and the component, allowing delicate devices to be removed more easily. Once the vacuum is removed, the membrane returns to its normal holding condition.

The system is particularly suited for handling semiconductor dies, ICs, MEMS devices, laser/optical components, sensors and other small or fragile electronic components where controlled handling is important. Gel-Pak's VR technology accommodates devices ranging from less than 250 microns up to approximately 75 mm, depending on the carrier configuration.
