This original HP circuit card was part of the HP 13181A Digital Magnetic Tape Unit Interface Kit and was designed for use with classic Hewlett-Packard minicomputer systems, including the HP 2100, HP 2116, and HP 21MX series.
The board provided the interface between HP computer systems and HP 7970 series 9-track open-reel digital magnetic tape drives. This rare vintage hardware features original TTL logic circuitry, gold-plated edge connectors, and the classic HP card design used in early computer systems.
