HPE Ethernet 1Gb 2-Port 368FLR-T Media Module Adapter — 872161-001 / 856161-001 / 866464-B21

Used, fully tested and working. This is the media module that gives an HPE ProLiant Gen10 server its two RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet ports.

Read this before you buy

This is NOT a PCIe network card. It has no gold-finger edge connector and no PCI bracket. It is a small mezzanine daughtercard that plugs onto the dedicated media-module connector on the server's system board and exposes the server's embedded 1GbE as two RJ-45 ports. It will not work in a normal PCIe slot.

Compatibility

• HPE ProLiant DL160 Gen10 and DL180 Gen10 — confirmed in HPE's own QuickSpecs, which list option 866464-B21 under Media Module adapters. Note that only one media module can be fitted per server.
• Parts vendors also list this module for the Apollo 2000 Gen10 nodes, XL170r Gen10 and XL190r Gen10. We have not confirmed those against an HPE document, so treat them as vendor-reported rather than guaranteed.
• We do not advertise this as a Gen9 part. HPE lists it as Gen10 and the board is marked Copyright 2017.

What is included

• The 368FLR-T media module board only, in an anti-static bag.
• No retail box, no screws, no cables, no server and no and fully tested: fitted to a compatible server, recognised by the system, and both ports linked up and passed traffic. Cosmetically clean with light handling marks. Both RJ-45 jacks clear and undamaged, board-to-board connector intact, no corrosion or burn marks on the PCB, label legible.
