Vintage 1995 IBM desktop computer (IBM SurePath/Aptiva era) sold AS-IS for restoration, repair, parts, or collection.

Testing Performed:

* Powers on

* Fan runs smoothly

* Reaches IBM SurePath Setup Utility / BIOS screen

* CD-ROM drive detected in BIOS

* Floppy drive recognized

* Hard drive currently not detected / shows not installed

* Hard drive may spin intermittently, but system does not recognize it

What I attempted:

* Verified internal connections to the best of my ability

* Checked IDE ribbon cable configuration

* Entered BIOS setup

* Due to age and vintage hardware, additional troubleshooting may be required (jumper settings, IDE configuration, hard drive, CMOS battery, etc.)
