Vintage IBM Model M Space Saving Keyboard (SSK), Part Number 1397681, manufactured in the USA in 1993.

Rare compact Space Saving version of the classic IBM Model M featuring the iconic buckling spring key mechanism.

The keyboard has been fully tested and is fully working. All keys were individually tested and respond properly.

Includes the detachable keyboard cable shown in the photos.

Please note: When the keyboard is moved or gently shaken, a small loose object or component can be heard moving/rattling inside the case. The exact source is unknown. This did not affect operation during testing, and the keyboard remains fully functional.

The keyboard is in good overall vintage condition but is not perfectly clean. There is some dust and dirt in and around the keys, along with normal marks, scratches, discoloration, and other signs of age and use. It has only received basic cleaning. For the best possible cosmetic condition, the keyboard would benefit from a more thorough cleaning, including removal and cleaning of the keycaps and detailed cleaning of the case.
