WHY THE 900P IS DIFFERENT FROM A NAND SSDThis is 3D XPoint media, not flash. Its advantage is not sequential throughput but latency and endurance under mixed and low-queue-depth workloads, which is why these are still sought after years after Intel discontinued the Optane line.

COMPATIBILITY - PLEASE READThis is the U.2 version, not the half-height add-in card. It needs a U.2 (SFF-8639) backplane, a U.2 host card, or an M.2-to-U.2 cable. Intel includes an M.2 cable in the box for motherboards with a spare M.2 slot, which is how most desktop owners run these. Please confirm your system has one of those three before buying.
