Intel Plato Socket 5 motherboard Pentium 100 32MB 1.2GB HDD 1MB PCI video combo
Price: US $115.00
Up for sale is a nice vintage parts combo perfect for a retro Windows 95 or DOS era gaming build. These parts are all in good condition and have been thoroughly tested to work well on my test bench. I have had all these parts in climate controlled storage for a very long time, time to start thinning out my collection. Read below for what is included.
Please note that I have done some work on this motherboard before listing. Firstly I removed the soldered on Dallas RTC chip and installed a socket so the Dallas chip can be easily replaced. I then installed a Benchmarq BQ3285 RTC replacement chip that has a user replaceable battery!I also replaced the three capacitors located near the Dallas RTC socket / AT power connector with new Japanese ones!
1. The Intel Plato AT Socket 5 motherboard is based on the 430NX chipset and supports Pentium 75, 90, and 100MHz CPUs at 50, 60, and 66MHz bus speeds. It has four FPM SDRAM memory slots and 256kb of L2 cache onboard. There are three PCI slots and five ISA slots for expansion. Serial/parallel/floppy and two IDE port headers are onboard. Board has PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports. You will need an AT style power supply to run this board! Board has been updated to the latest INTEL BIOS.2. Installed CPU is an Intel Pentium SX963 running at 100MHz. This has a 66MHz FSB, and no FDIV bug. This has an aluminum heatsink installed and I added a small cooling fan to the heatsink as well.
3. Installed memory is 32MB of 70NS FPM SDRAM via 4 x 8MB SIMMS. Memory passes memtest86+ testing.4. Included GPU is a Union PCI based on the Trident TGUI9680 accelerator with 1MB of memory onboard. Card has VGA DSUB output.5. A tested (no bad sectors - drive is quiet) vintage WD Caviar 31200 1281MB hard drive is also included. I have installed MS-DOS 6.22 on the C partition as well as CTmouse, CD-ROM drivers, ran memmaker, and then installed some miscellaneous classic DOS games to get you started on the D partition. I have set this up for the primary IDE HDD to be on the RZ1000 onboard PCI IDE controller, and the secondary IDE optical drive (not included) to be on the onboard Intel ISA bus controller - two IDE and one floppy cables will be included!
This combo will be well packaged and will ship via USPS Ground or UPS Ground with tracking. Thanks for looking!
