The unit is in perfect physical condition and I have no reason to believe it doesn't work; it was functional many years ago when I extracted it from a vintage PC. It spent those years inside a parts drawer; nothing was ever piled on top of it, and it never fell down anywhere. Basically, I have full confidence that it still functions - but I have no means of testing this unit.
