Hi there, up for grabs is an Intellinet 5 port unmanaged PoE Powered switch with PoE Passthru. I used it only briefly until I migrated to the Ubiquiti Managed Ecosystem. Includes the original AC Power Adapter.
This switch can be powered by a PoE/PoE+/Poe++ ethernet feed...so no local AC power required (but if can be powered by the include AC adapter if that's the way you want to set it up) . And if you're not sure what PoE Passthru is...read on! The REALLY cool thing about this is that if it receives enough PoE input power it can "pass thru" that power to LAN devices connected to its LAN ports. So THEY don't need A/C power either! I'll describe my use case: My house has generator backup. My barn does NOT. I have ethernet run from my house to the barn, and in the barn I have several PoE powered devices (an access point, 2 cameras). So...how to set it up so those barn devices can run off the generator and continue doing their job during a power outage? Well, I set up a PoE++ switch in the house. Connected that to the barn feed...put this switch in the barn...and hung the cameras and access point off of the Intellinet. When power goes out and the generator kicks in...the PoE++ switch in the house send power over the ethernet line to the barn...the intellinet is powered by that...and then gives power (along with IP) to all three attached devices.
