WINDOWS PCs AND COMPATIBLE COMPUTERS
- Turn off the computer.
- Insert the USB flash drive or DVD.
- Turn on the computer.
- Immediately press the key that opens the Boot Menu. Common keys include Esc, F8, F9, F10, F11, or F12, depending on the manufacturer.
- Select the UEFI USB, USB Storage Device, or DVD Drive option.
- Press Enter and wait for the Kaisen Linux boot menu to appear.
- Select the appropriate Live or installation option.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. Enjoy!
Note: Secure Boot may need to be disabled or adjusted before the computer can start from external Linux media.

INTEL-BASED APPLE MAC COMPUTERS
- Shut down the Mac.
- Insert the USB flash drive.
- Turn on the Mac while immediately holding the Option/Alt key.
- Continue holding the key until the Startup Manager appears.
- Select EFI Boot.
- Choose the appropriate Kaisen Linux Live or installation option.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Important: This 64-bit AMD/Intel release is intended for compatible Intel-based computers. It is not designed for native installation on Apple-silicon Macs using M-series processors.
Some Intel Macs equipped with Appleβs T2 Security Chip may require changes in Startup Security Utility before external booting is permitted.
