This memory will not work in a standard desktop PC or laptop. These are ECC Registered (RDIMM) modules. They require a server or workstation whose processor and motherboard explicitly support registered memory - for example Intel Xeon E5, Xeon Scalable, or AMD EPYC platforms. Registered memory is not compatible with consumer boards, and it is not interchangeable with unbuffered ECC (UDIMM) or non-ECC desktop memory even though the modules physically fit the same 288-pin slot. Please confirm your board's QVL or memory support list before purchasing. Buying the wrong memory type is the most common mistake with server RAM, and it is avoidable in two minutes.

Condition and Testing

• Pulled from a decommissioned enterprise server that was in normal working service
• All 8 modules are the same part number from the same system - a genuine matched set, not assembled from mixed pulls
• [CONFIRM: state how these were tested. For example: "All 8 modules tested together in a dual-socket Xeon Scalable system, POSTed and passed a full memory test pass." If untested, say so plainly instead.]
• No bent pins, no damaged contacts, no missing or lifted components
• Heat spreaders and labels intact and legible - part numbers are visible in the photos

Compatibility Notes

2400 MHz is the correct native speed for several Xeon Scalable processors, including the Xeon Silver 4200 series, whose memory controllers run at DDR4-2400. On faster platforms these modules will simply clock down to 2400 and run the whole bank at that speed, so plan accordingly if you are mixing with faster DIMMs. Note the 1Rx8 single-rank organization. If you are adding these alongside existing memory, match rank and organization within a channel. Mixing ranks in the same channel can cause a system to ignore DIMMs or fail memory training.
