Why This Webcam

• It is a large upgrade over a built-in laptop camera. Most integrated webcams are grainy, poorly lit and pointed up your nose. A dedicated 720p sensor with proper light correction sitting at eye level is a visible difference on the other end of the call.

Before You Buy

• This is 720p, not 1080p. It is Logitech's entry model and it is honest about that. Ideal for meetings, classes and calls. If you are streaming to an audience or want 1080p, look at the C920 family instead.
• Fixed focus, not autofocus. Sharp at normal desk distance. It will not snap focus on a document held up close.
• 55 degree field of view is for one person. Great for a single talking head. Too narrow to frame a couch or a conference table.
• No privacy shutter. There is no built-in cover. A stick-on shutter costs a couple of dollars if your policy requires one.
• Mono microphone. Fine for speech, not for music or stereo recording.
• USB-A only. Bring an adapter for a USB-C only laptop.
