Runs circles around contemporary and previous-generation mobile processors to provide vastly greater performance for modern, power-hungry applications and more responsive, smoother, and seamless multitasking!

• Ultra-high-performance Nvidia GeForce MX350 discrete 3D primary graphics accelerator with 640 CUDA cores, 2GB super-fast dedicated GDDR5 graphics memory and 18GB total graphics memory. The base configuration from Dell does not include the Nvidia GeForce discrete GPU, relying completely on the less capable integrated Intel IRIS Xe GPU (with only 80 EUs and 128MB graphics memory) to handle all 3D and 2D imaging chores. The GeForce MX350 included with this system provides vastly improved 3D frame rates for dramatically faster performance when photo/video editing, gaming, generating content, rendering, etc., with seamless dynamic switching when that capability is not needed to the energy-efficient Intel IRIS Xe secondary GPU for handling less demanding 2D Windows and Office-type chores.

The entry-level and even mid-range and top-end 7706 configurations from Dell have absolutely no secondary/backup drive of any sort. This 2TB drive provides ultra-fast, ultra-high capacity adjacent storage for photos, videos, music, SSD backups, etc.

• An exceptionally spacious 32GB of dual-channel, high-performance Micron PC4-25600/DDR4-3200AA/3200MHz main memory/RAM. FOUR times larger and two times faster than the 8GB of single-channel RAM typically included with the basic 7706 configuration from Dell. Provides effortless support for multi-tasking and running especially large applications. Note that most brand new mid-range and even many upper-end laptops available today only include 16GB of (generally) non-upgradeable RAM! Please see below about RAM prices, which have absolutely skyrocketed during the past 12-18 months.

• 2560x1600 pixel resolution Quad-HD+/QHD+ In-Plane Switching/IPS UltraSharp TrueLife LCD touchscreen display. All configurations of the 7706 include this outstanding LCD display technology. Provides 300 nits luminance, world-class dynamic contrast ratios, super-wide 170-degree viewing angles, and the richest RGB color gamut available (100% sRGB) for an immersive and pleasing viewing experience, while supporting all of the latest touch gestures.

• Gigabit Ethernet USB Adapter: Modern super-thin laptops no longer support traditional RJ-45 Ethernet ports, so the basic configuration from Dell (as well as nearly every modern ultra-portable design from every manufacturer at every price point) forces all network and internet communications to occur over a wireless connection. This system, however, includes an ultra-high-speed auto-sensing 10/100/1000Mbps Monoprice-brand "Gigabit" Ethernet USB 3.x/2.0 Type-A adapter/dongle so you can attach directly to your network router using standard CAT-5 or CAT-6 cable at the highest-possible speed and providing the most secure connection possible.

• Ultra-high-speed 2400Mbps/2.4Gbps WiFi-6 Gig+ Wireless-AX Dual-Band (2.4GHz, 5GHz) module. Intel's renowned and highly regarded WiFi standard, providing wired Gigabit Ethernet-class performance! Provides nearly three times the peak wireless bandwidth and upwards of 5 times the typical sustained bandwidth of the Wireless-AC modules included with the basic configuration from Dell for much faster network and internet connections. Also supports the latest Bluetooth 5.2 standard for ultra-high-bandwidth and ultra-low-latency operation - vastly improves the performance of Bluetooth headphones, keyboards/mice and many other wireless peripherals!

• Programmable LED backlit keyboard with dedicated numeric keypad. All configurations of the 7706 include this wonderful "see in the dark" LED backlit keyboard for much easier use in darker environments. Backlight brightness is user-configurable: Bright-Dim-Off, and will automatically turn off after a user-configurable time interval if the laptop is not being actively used (battery saver!).

• Integrated Goodix Fingerprint Sensor. Log into Windows simply by placing your finger on the sensor - no more pins or passwords needed! All configurations from Dell include this super-useful security feature.

• Portable external USB 3.x/2.0 DVD and CD combo "burner" drive. The standard configurations from Dell do not include any external optical disk drive, which is rather inconvenient for those with extensive DVD movie or CD music collections. Note that the lack of any optical drive is standard practice on all modern laptops due to cost and accessibility restrictions, so an external USB optical drive like the one included with this 7706 is a great benefit.

• 90-Watt Dell AC adapter. The most basic configuration from Dell only includes an underpowered 45-Watt AC adapter (and some step-up systems an "adequate" 65-Watt AC adapter). The beefier (but still slim!) 90-Watt AC adapter provided with this system delivers fully two times the reserve capacity to easily accommodate even the heaviest computation loads.

• Future-proof and business-ready genuine Windows 11 Professional Edition (fully licensed and activated!). The basic and mid-range configurations from Dell include only the defeatured "Home" Edition of Windows.

• Genuine Microsoft Office 2021 Professional Plus (fully licensed and activated!). The basic configuration from Dell (in fact, the typical configuration for ALL laptops from ALL manufacturers) includes NO licensed Office package - merely a 30-day trial for Office 365, after which you have to pay a steep monthly or annual subscription fee to continue using it.

If you could have bought this system with the hardware and OS configured exactly as it is now, it honestly would have set you back roughly $2000, and quite possibly upwards of $2500 when identically kitted out with the latest Microsoft Office and other software titles like this one! And as mentioned earlier, the recent 5x price increases on RAM and 3x price increases on SSDs and even HDDs have resulted in up to $1000 additional cost when buying new directly from the manufacturers.

Optional Docking Station: When paired with a Thunderbolt 3/4 or USB-C docking station like the optional Dell WD19TB and WD15 available with this laptop, it's easily powerful enough - and appropriately equipped - to be used as a complete replacement for traditional desktop systems. The WD19TB and WD15's vast array of additional ports and features (full specifications list in section below) nicely complement the those already provided with the laptop itself. Cost Savings/Price Reduction Options for this Inspiron 17-7706 Premium Special Edition system: The hardware configuration for this laptop was optimized in terms of the amount of RAM, SSD and HDD capacity, inclusion of an external DVD drive, inclusion of a Gigabit Ethernet adapter, inclusion of an advanced latest-generation 'AX' WiFi-6 adapter, inclusion of discrete graphics accelerator card, higher-end AC adapter, etc., in order to provide the very best out-of-box experience and longest period before any later upgrades might be necessary. However, if some of these hardware specs are beyond your needs and you would like to reprice the laptop with those specs reduced, then just contact me via messaging and I can give you a quote with your preferred hardware configuration.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT RAM AND SSD PRICES: Unless you've been stranded alone on an island and incommunicado for the past 12-18 months, you probably already know that RAM prices have roughly quintupled during the past year, with new 32GB kits now running well over $300 versus $60 previously, while 64GB kits are now often exceeding $700 versus about $120 previously. SSD and HDD prices have also increased dramatically, although so far by "only" 200%-250% as of late-September 2026 instead of the 400% or more typical for RAM (SSD and HDD prices are predicted, however, to continue to increase rapidly in the very near future). The insane price increases for RAM and SSDs in particular are primarily due to the fact that all three major silicon manufacturers (Micron, Samsung, and SK Hynix) are allocating a vastly reduced number of wafer starts to consumer DDR4 and DDR5 RAM, as well as consumer NAND flash memory used in SSDs, with nearly all of their production for the next few years redirected to AI data centers, which gobble up HBM (High-Bandwidth Memory) and fast SSD storage in stratospheric (and expensive) amounts. These AI data centers, by the way, are also a big part of why your electricity rates have also likely gone through the roof recently due to their insatiable appetite for power.

Despite the insane RAM and SSD price increases, I have tried to keep my overall prices consistent and affordable by using - for as long as I can - components purchased earlier last year before the dramatic price increases. However, I no longer stock the highest-capacity 64GB RAM and my stock of 32GB RAM is rapidly getting consumed, as is my stock of 1TB and 2TB SSDs and external HDDs! I am very sorry about the market's RAM and SSD price increases - the situation, unfortunately, is expected to persist for at least another couple of years:(

This Inspiron 17-7706 comes with an installed, activated, updated, and fully configured Windows 11 Professional Operating System package that's better and more useful than that provided with almost any new laptop. In fact, this is an absolutely amazing setup - one that took an expert with 1000s of laptops' and PCs' worth of experience several days of labor to complete - and would take most "mere mortals" weeks or longer to configure!

Windows Operating System

• Microsoft Windows 11 Professional 64-bit October 2025 Update Edition Version 25H2 is installed (and activated via fully transferable, commercially purchased genuine Microsoft license). All of the latest Windows 11 updates, bug fixes, and security patches have already been installed, as well as updated video, audio, chipset, LAN, and touchpad drivers, and the latest BIOS revision (1.35.0) from Dell. Please note that the October 2025 Update Edition of Windows 11 is the very latest version available - just released in early October, and rolling out to end users over the next four-to-six months.

Functionally, this Dell Inspiron 17-7706 is in perfect condition. Cosmetically, even though it is not being delivered to you directly from the factory, it is in absolutely gorgeous condition and is easily among the very finest such units currently available on or anywhere else. Some details...

Overall, the chassis/case is outstanding - similar to what a typical system would look like after perhaps 10-12 months of normal ownership! In detail: the LCD's top/back cover is in absolutely mint condition, with only the very slightest, barely perceptible evidence of any prior use - it rates a 9.9+ out of 10. The chassis base/bottom is also in mint condition, and you'd be hard pressed to find any indications whatsoever of prior use - it also rates a 9.9+ out of 10. The LCD's front digitizer/touchscreen Gorilla Glass is in flawless condition, with no imperfections of any sort - 10 out of 10. The LCD itself is bright and clear and also in 100% flawless condition; there are no dead/stuck pixels or scratches or scuffs or lines or burn marks or faded backlighting or discoloration or any other possible imperfection - overall an immaculate display and rates a perfect 10 out of 10. The keyboard is in superb condition, with no shine or wear present on any of the keys (all keys also demonstrate 100% perfect "as-new" tactile response and response) - 9.9+ out of 10. The cooling fan and heat sink assembly are clean and perfect - completely free of the dingy muck buildup you find on used laptops (which often leads to overheating!). The primary Solid State Drive and the secondary Hard Disk Drive are in mint condition, with both receiving exceptional "Health Status" scores as determined by the industry standard CrystalDiskInfo tool (both also thoroughly verified using Dell's built-in Diagnostics suite, as well various trusted third-party benchmarking applications). The 32GB of high-speed system memory (2x16GB DDR4 3200MHz SoDIMMs) is perfect and has been thoroughly verified for flawless operation using the industry-standard Memtest86 diagnostic tool. The external USB optical drive is in perfect condition (only used to install some of the applications via the included DVDs), with all supported media types fully tested and certified. The Gigabit USB 3.x Type-A Ethernet LAN adapter is mint (mostly just used to install Windows and any of the apps not installed via the optical disk drive). And the integrated ultra-high-performance Intel AX201 Wireless-AX/WiFi-6 plus Bluetooth 5.2 card works superbly, with plenty of speed (up to 2400Mbits/s) and range to satisfy anyone! All internal components (motherboard, CPU, GPU, memory cards, etc.) have been fully tested, and the entire laptop has been checked out thoroughly using a battery of highly regarded diagnostics and stress-testing suites that are far more comprehensive than that used by Dell or any other major laptop manufacturer. This is truly a phenomenal laptop, and you are extremely unlikely to find another one with its superb combination of ultra-high-end hardware specs, outstanding, custom-tailored Windows and apps setup, and absolutely outstanding overall condition at anything close to this very attractive price - it is quite unique indeed!

Unit History: This Dell Inspiron 17-7706 is listed as "Used", although based on its overall fantastic, nearly immaculate condition, it could easily pass as "Manufacturer Refurbished". In fact, aside from the roughly 8-10 days I spent upgrading its hardware and then setting it up with Windows 11 Pro, Office 2021 Pro, and the entire best-in-class custom apps suite, it was only actually used for less than 6 months in total (it was a company "demo" system that spent most of its time stored in our IT storage locker). Our business typically has up to a dozen or so 7706s (and the prior 7791s and 7786s) in our stable that we use to run standard office productivity tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint typically, plus a few Adobe creativity apps), some engineering tools (mostly MatLab and several chip design, synthesis, and simulation packages), as well as doing some Zoom video conferencing. Company-wide, all of our Inspiron systems are now being reassigned or decommissioned due to an across-the-board upgrade cycle to mostly very pricey Dell Precision models, making available for sale this mint condition Inspiron 7706 system with its fresh-from-scratch operating system and apps installation, plus its performance-oriented component upgrades (most importantly, the huge, lightning-fast NVMe primary Solid State Drive, the even more huge external secondary Hard Disk Drive, the substantially larger RAM/main memory, the external USB optical drive, the Gigabit Ethernet LAN adapter, the ultra-fast AX WiFi-6 module, and the higher capacity AC adapter). In sum, this superbly upgraded Inspiron 17-7706 is configured vastly better than when we originally purchased it (along with over a dozen identical systems), yet it is priced at a fraction of its retail value!

Upgrade Options

The hardware included with this Inspiron 17-7706laptop is what I would consider optimal from a cost-performance perspective (I spent nearly 10 years at Intel architecting and designing microprocessors and entire computing platforms, so I have a better understanding of performance tradeoffs than the average vendor!). I have not over-spec'ed it to make it appear to be something that it's not. It has more than enough compute and graphics horsepower, however, to comfortably run any of your older video games at up to "medium-ish" settings, any of your productivity and creativity apps, any of your entertainment apps (especially streaming players and various multimedia apps), and a variety of other apps you might choose to install after your purchase - so it is fully capable of handling nearly any task you might throw at it! For potential buyers who'd prefer to max out certain specs on this already superbly equipped laptop, I'd be happy to provide any available upgrades to the winning buyer. Prices for items like a Dell WD19TB or WD15 Docking Station (see below for specs), additional RAM (up to 64GB), larger NVMe primary Solid State Drives (up to 4TB), larger secondary backup Hard Disk Drives, Bluetooth keyboards and mice, spare AC adapters, etc., fluctuate depending on market conditions; however, if you're interested, just send me an email and I can check on current prices for you. Warranty and Return Information

The 60-day parts and 1-year labor warranty included with this Dell Inspiron laptop covers defects in the item itself, and is limited to...

• Replacement of the part with one of similar type/quality if available,

• Repair of the item by seller if possible, or

• Refund of the actual item purchase price if a replacement is not available and repair is not possible.

Choice of remedy is at seller's discretion, and buyer is responsible for all shipping fees. In addition, any warranty claim absolutely MUST be handled directly through the seller - replacement or repairs performed by the buyer or by a third party will not be reimbursed by the seller unless advanced, written approval was granted!

Additional warranty limitations - These may seem obvious, but here they are anyway...

• This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse of this item.

• This warranty does not cover damage caused by use with unsupported hardware, damage caused by modifications to the laptop, or damage caused by out-of-spec use (e.g., baking it in the summer sun, taking your laptop with you into the shower, etc.).

I generally accept "buyer's remorse" returns of most items if you change your mind about a purchase. The returned item must, of course, be in the exact same condition as when originally shipped, and all returns must be requested within 7 days of receipt of the item. Additionally, all returns are subject to a "restocking" fee of between 8% and 20% of the total sale price plus shipping. This fee covers the time and equipment necessary to fully retest and recertify the item, any potential item depreciation, various fees incurred to relist the item on , and any PayPal fees that are not refunded to the seller even if your payment is refunded. Finally, for those thinking about swapping out parts from their old broken Dell and then sending the this unit back for a warranty refund, that is simply, absolutely, 100% not going to work - prior to shipment, this item is extensively photographed (inside and out!), various components with identifying numbers are cataloged, and special UV and other indelible inks are used to mark random internal sections of the laptop. This is a high-value item and any attempts at fraud will be appropriately handled, so don't try!

Payment Details

• PayPal is fine, and funding via your credit card, bank account, PayPal balance, etc. are all OK -- I don't discriminate against any PayPal funding options! Using PayPal is fast, easy, and will ensure speediest delivery. For international shipments, this is the only available payment method!

• If using PayPal, I will generally only ship to confirmed PayPal addresses, although exceptions may be made for those with excellent response on a case-by-case basis.

• Credit cards or debit cards processed through 's payment system are also fine and have the same advantages and benefits as PayPal payments.

• Cash is OK, but ONLY if you're doing a local pick up. I'm sure you know better than to send cash in the mail!

• If you wish to use any form of payment other than PayPal, please contact me first to check if it is a suitable method, and is allowed by 's payment policies. When using a non-PayPal method, there may be a shipment delay to allow time for your payment to be processed (typically several business days). Exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis and only for members with exceptionally positive response history.

Transaction response

• I typically leave response for buyers shortly after payment has been made. If I'm particularly busy - I have a fairly taxing 'day job' designing CPUs and custom data/image processing chips for a very high-end, next-generation medical diagnostic imaging system - that response may be delayed a day or two. Please rest assured, though, that I will not forget to leave it!

• I ask that once you have received your package and have thoroughly checked out your item, that you reciprocate and leave appropriate response for me. • bases their fees on a member's detailed response ratings for communications, whether the item was as described, shipping costs, and shipping time. Although they profess that scores of 4 or better are acceptable, in practice, any score less than 5 results in significantly higher 'Final Value' fees (up to 20% higher), which in turn leads to higher prices for buyers. • Shipping Time: please keep in mind that I have absolutely zero control over how long the US Post Office or other contracted carriers take to actually deliver a package to you once they have it in their possession. All I can promise is that all items are shipped either the same day as payment is received or at worst, the very next business day. Parcel Post, in particular, can take a week or longer to cover the distance between California and the East Coast, so if that poses a problem for you, you may want to opt for one of the expedited shipping options! For international buyers, please be aware that shipping time is impacted greatly by how quickly the customs agents of your country process your package. If they are particularly busy (for example, during the winter holiday season), the added delay can be quite substantial! For whichever shipping option you choose, keep in mind that the 'Shipping Time' score is meant to reflect how quickly a seller posts an item after it has been paid for - not how long the carrier takes to actually deliver the package using the buyer's chosen delivery method!!!

• Shipping Cost: Many of my listings feature free domestic First Class or Parcel Post shipping. For the rest, First Class and Parcel Post shipping, or upgrades to Priority and Express shipping, are typically provided at a slight discount to published USPS rates plus transit insurance and packaging materials cost. For international customers, shipping costs are calculated using the lowest published USPS rates for the available shipping options, plus transit insurance, packaging materials cost, and a very small amount (one US dollar or less) to cover the overhead of filling out various US customs forms.
