The NETGEAR XSM4348S-100NES is a managed switch from the M4300-24X24F Series, built for mid-enterprise edge and SMB core deployments needing dense 10 Gigabit connectivity. It provides 24 independent 100/1000/10GBASE-T copper ports alongside 24 independent 1G/10G SFP+ ports, giving network designers flexibility to mix copper and fiber connections without shared-port compromises. Switching fabric capacity reaches 960 Gbps with non-blocking, latency-free forwarding across the full port count. Layer 3 features include static routing, policy-based routing, and dynamic routing via RIP, VRRP, OSPF, and PIM. Priority Flow Control is supported with CLI configuration for lossless, congestion-sensitive traffic. The switch stacks with other M4300 models across any 10G or 40G port using RJ45, SFP+, or DAC cable media, supporting high availability through non-stop forwarding and hitless failover across the stack. A modular power bay ships with one APS250W supply installed, with a second bay available for redundancy. Front-to-back airflow and fixed fans keep the switch cool at a rated 35.8 dB noise level, with front-panel RJ45 RS232 console, mini-USB console, and USB storage ports for local management and firmware updates.
