Condition
The software and documentation are vintage/used and are being sold primarily as a collectible.
The box shows normal age-related wear, including scuffing and wear along the corners and edges. The manuals and printed materials also show signs of age/use. Please examine all photographs carefully, as the photos are part of the description.
The CDs shown in the photographs are included. I have not tested the software, so I cannot guarantee that the discs are currently readable or that the software will install or operate on modern hardware.
This listing is for the physical vintage software package and collector's materials, not technical support or a modern software license.
A great piece of NeXT history
NeXTSTEP was the pioneering object-oriented operating system developed by NeXT and became an important part of the history of modern computing. NeXTSTEP's technology and software heritage are particularly significant to collectors interested in NeXT computers, Steve Jobs-era computing, UNIX, object-oriented programming, and the history of macOS.
This is an especially interesting package because it includes both the NeXTSTEP operating system and Developer software, along with the original documentation and packaging.
Please review the photographs carefully for the exact contents and condition.
A fantastic addition to a NeXT, vintage UNIX, retro-computing, or software-history collection.
