Description

Offered for sale is a complete NeXTstation Turbo Color system that has been carefully stored indoors in a climate-controlled home for many years. This is one of the most desirable NeXT configurations and includes the original color monitor, keyboard, mouse, and sound box.

The system has not been modified and remains in the condition in which it has been stored. Cosmetic condition is very good for its age, with normal signs of use consistent with vintage computer equipment. Please review all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description.

Known Condition

The system is being sold as-is due to its age.

The only known issue is that the power supply requires refurbishment/recapping, which is a well-known and common maintenance item for NeXT systems of this era. Because of this known issue, the system is being sold as untested. No guarantees are made regarding functionality beyond the condition described above.

I have intentionally not attempted any repair or restoration work. Many collectors and restorers prefer to perform this work themselves.

Collector Notes

NeXT computers occupy a unique place in computing history and were developed under the leadership of Steve Jobs following his departure from Apple. Complete Turbo Color systems with matching monitor, keyboard, mouse, and sound box are becoming increasingly difficult to find.

This system would make an excellent addition to a collection, restoration project, museum display, or preservation effort.

Shipping

Due to the size, weight, and fragile nature of vintage electronics—especially the color monitor—great care will be taken in packing. All components will be professionally packed and fully insured for shipment.
