Netgear Nighthawk AC2100 Smart WiFi Router
Model: R7200
Dual-band AC2100 class router on a MediaTek MT7621 platform (good OpenWrt support). Gigabit WAN/LAN, USB 3.0 + USB 2.0, three external antennas. Strong mid-range hardware for a home router, AP, or mesh node.
Firmware
Flashed with OpenWrt 25.12.5 (LuCI web interface) and fully tested. This is not stock Netgear firmware.
Mesh / multi-AP use
Because it is running OpenWrt, this unit can join or extend a mesh with other OpenWrt access points and routers (802.11s and common OpenWrt mesh packages). Use it as:
- Main router
- Wired backhaul AP
- Wireless mesh node alongside other OpenWrt devices
Buyer configures mesh SSIDs, backhaul, and security after first login.
What you get: Router + power adapter (as pictured). No original retail box.
Condition: Good / used. Glossy top shows scratches, scuffs, and wear (see photos). Fully functional.
Ships carefully packed from Montana.
