Q: What's the difference between chipsets?

A: Chipsets are randomly assigned. ASM225CM and JMS578 support TRIM protocol for SSDs. UASP protocol is not supported on Linux systems regardless of chipset.

Q: Can I use a thicker drive?

A: This enclosure accommodates drives between 7-9.5mm thickness only. Standard 2.5" SATA drives typically fall within this range.
