Up for sale is a vintage Okidata Microline 184 Turbo 9-pin dot matrix printer. This unit is being cleared out of storage and is sold strictly AS-IS for parts, repair, or restoration. Please read the full diagnostic notes below before offerding.
Functional & Diagnostic Notes:
Power Tested: The unit powers on instantly when plugged in.
Control Panel: All front panel buttons light up clearly and cycle through settings one by one as toggled.
Mechanical Movement: The internal ribbon spool and drive mechanism advance cleanly when initialized.
Data/Print Testing: UNTESTED. We do not have the legacy computing rig, drivers, or a fresh ink ribbon to send a live data stream or verify a print run. It has not been tested to actually print text.
Cosmetic & Structural Flaws:
Broken Paper Tray: The rear plastic paper guide/tray has snapped off at the lower connection slot areas (see detailed close-up photos). The plastic pieces are included; a handy buyer could likely glue, plastic-weld, or mechanically rig it back into place, or use the machine as a donor chassis for parts.
General Wear: The casing shows typical shop dust, scuffs, and cosmetic wear from storage. It could use a thorough external cleaning.
