The original Orchid documentation identifies the Designer 800 VGA as an 8-bit graphics adapter for PCs, XTs, ATs and PS/2 Models 25 & 30. The original packaging states support for standard VGA modes plus extended modes and compatibility with several earlier graphics standards.

IMPORTANT: UNTESTED VINTAGE HARDWARE.

This graphics card has not been functionally tested. No guarantee of functionality is made.

Cosmetically, the circuit board presents very well for its age. No obvious major corrosion, burned components or broken PCB areas were observed during visual inspection. The ISA edge contacts and metal connectors show normal age-related wear, oxidation/tarnish and evidence of prior installation/use.

The original retail box has age/storage wear including scuffing, creasing and edge/corner wear. Manuals, paperwork, diskettes and sleeves show normal age-related discoloration and storage/handling wear.

The original disks have not been tested and their readability is not guaranteed.

Excellent package for an IBM-compatible PC restoration, vintage computer collection, period-correct DOS system or Orchid Technology hardware collection.
