This is a Peplink MAX BR1 Mini (HW3). This is the updated HW3 version. Updated w/ firmware 8.6.0. This is often used in mobile, vehicle applications as a hotspot. I had been using it on a vehicle to provide a wifi network via a T-mobile SIM card (it's compatible w/ all major carrier pSIM), while simultaneously providing a wired LAN to a computer on the vehicle. This Peplink router also can connect to a local network (a feature I used) - so if your vehicle moves to a location that has a friendly wifi network you can have the Peplink connect to that network to serve as the internet service (while not modifying it's hosted wifi or LAN network). For example: if your vehicle parks at the same location everyday, you can have it connect to local wifi to provide internet host. Then, when you drive away from that location, the Peplink seamlessly swaps over to cellular network. There is no change in Wifi or LAN connection while this is happening.
These are robust, industry-standard cellular routers.
This Peplink also allows you to have (2) different SIM cards, so you can have redundant cellular backup. I didn't need to do this and saw my service w/ my T-mobile SIM to be sufficient.
I'm selling because I have (2) of these and now only have a single car, so no need for the secondary router. They're excellent cellular routers w/ tons of support.
