You are buying a used but in perfect working condition Lanner FW-8894 network appliance that has been reloaded with a fresh installation of the latest version of pfSense (Community Edition).
It is powered by a dual 14 core Xeon E5-2680 v4 CPU, and has 32GB of RAM (4x 8GB DDR4 RDIMMs) and a 480GB SSD*. In addition to the two onboard Gigabit Ethernet ports, it comes with an 8x1Gb Ethernet module and a quad 10Gb SFP+ module (Intel X520 chipset).I configured the LOM** port (white cable in pictures) as the WAN andbridged the remaining ports as members of the same LAN (Switch configuration).
The pfSense configuration page can be accessed at 192.168.10.1, credentials are admin/Passw0rd. This device has a VGA connector as well as a few USB ports (to attach a keyboard), so it can easily be managed as a normal PC.
As you can see from the pictures it handled 10Gb traffic without breaking a sweat.
Fans are audible but not loud. Smart Fan options are available in the BIOS to lower the speed if neccessary.
