Tested and working great. Configured with 8MB ofmemory and a 500MB hard drive loaded with System 7.1.Motorola 68030 25MHz with Co-ProcessorProfessionally recapped logic board. Entire system cleaned and serviced. Boots with a nice chime and works great!Photo's of our recap work is included in the listing.
All surface mount capacitors on the logic board were replaced with solid Tantalum's.Allaxial capacitors were replaced as well, and a new battery installed.All problem areas were addressed, repaired, and treated with UV solder mask. The logic board has been ultrasonically cleaned.
If your Mac IIci or IIcx powers on immediately when the PSU is energized, or shuts down and displays "IT IS NOW SAFE TO SWITCH OFF YOUR MACINTOSH", the soft power circuit is malfunctioning.The start-up circuit has been restored on this Mac. Pads and IC's within the circuit were cleaned and tested. Soft power-on and shut down commands are functioning as they should.
Apple Personal Diagnostic ran a full system check, and all tests passed. see screen shots.
Overall,the condition of Mac IIciis very good.The case is solid, there are no cracks, broken tabs, or pry marks, just someminor nicks, light scratches and minor yellowing, There is an anti-theft bracket glued to the side of the case and a light spot where a sticker was removed.The hard drive LED light and programmers interrupt switch are not included.All NUBUS slot covers are present and intact.
The cage/tray that holds both disk drives is secured with the illusive, hard to find screw. This screw is important as it holds the logic board in place as well.
The internal floppy disk drive has been cleaned, lubed and tested to work great. It reads, writes, and ejects without issue.The 500MB internal hard drive is working great.
The signatures of all the engineers are molded in the bottom of the case.The IIci has a picture of the design team (easter egg) in the ROM. I'll send instructions how to reveal the photo to the lucky buyer. :-))You will receive the exact item as shown.Monitor, Keyboard, and Mouse NOT included.
