Super clean vintage Osborne 1 in nice working condition.
Fresh from the estate of the original owner, where it was kept in a closet for decades.
Before the computer was even turned on, it was torn down to extract the power supply board for a complete recap. The swollen and cracked RIFA caps were replaced, and every electrolytic capacitor was replaced as well.
The computer was also cleaned up while it was taken apart and it looks really nice. Non-smoker, no pets, and only mild plastic yellowing as it was kept out of UV light for so long. Plastic case latches are intact with no cracks and work great.
Computer works great. Both drives run smooth and quiet and read disks perfectly (see photos of each drive reading the directory of the disk inserted into them). Every single key on the keyboard works perfectly with no double presses or skips. The keyboard cable is perfect with no cracks or dry rotting.
Includes some original Osborne software copied from the previous owner onto blank disks. These all work great and read properly.
Also comes with an instruction book and power cable. It is ready to go out of the box, literally plug and play.
Overall a beautiful example, and such a joy to be able to tear it down and get it restored and working again.
